About
Swiss Finance Institute
Did Swiss Finance Institute prepare you for a job in
the industry?
I am pleased to announce that
I have received offers from [several bulge bracket investment
banking firms]! Shocking... but it actually happened!
I really want to thank Swiss Finance Institute for all
that it has done for me. This has been a long, long
road (and I guess it gets even longer!), but everything
was well worth it. SFA more than prepared me for this
very dynamic job search process. Some of the interview
questions that were thrown my way were straight out
of my SFA notes. Your program instilled in me the importance
of networking (I have sent countless thank you cards),
and also enabled me to further my banking education.
The SFA faculty and staff really put together an amazing
program. I expected the program to be tough, and it
was even tougher. I mean this in a good way, though,
as it really gave me a good sense of the kind of challenges
that I should expect to face in the industry. The learning
curve at SFA is really steep, but so is the learning
curve in the working world; SFA has made the latter
seem much more manageable and approachable! I came into
the program expecting to learn a lot, but the knowledge
I acquired was at a much higher level than anything
I could have anticipated. Through countless lectures,
discussions, exercises, analyses, projects and presentations,
I really feel like I emerged from the program with a
firm grasp of industry fundamentals and a solid sense
of what goes on behind the scenes. SFA surpassed each
and every one of my expectations.
Thanks for everything, Swiss
Finance Institute – this has meant more than you
can possibly imagine!
What made Swiss Finance Institute’s program unique
for you?
It’s the way that everything
comes together... the faculty, classmates, curriculum
and setting all combine to create a thoroughly memorable,
one-of-a-kind experience. As a participant in the Crans-Montana
program, I had the pleasure of attending classes and
events against the backdrop of the beautiful Swiss Alps.
SFA planned several outdoor events that allowed us to
take advantage of the location. My classmates came from
all over the world, and each person had a unique perspective
to offer on everything that we did. I left the program
with many lifelong friends – the intensity of
the curriculum really pulls everyone together, and people
get to know one another pretty quickly. Finally, it’s
obvious that the faculty is committed to the work that
they do, and they were always there to answer our questions
about anything and everything investment banking-related;
I really had the sense that they had a vested interest
in our success and in our satisfaction with the program.
